I’m working on a new client’s Magento site that is running the defunct Ultimento theme. Not casting stones, for sure, as I built more than one site using Supermenu Pro and regret it. Anyways, the nefarious theme developers of Ultimento stuffed branding everywhere, and made it hard to remove.
There are 900k Google results for “Powered by Ultimento”, so the previous developer wasn’t the only one who couldn’t figure out how to remove it.
Login to your admin and navigate to “System > configuration > Design > Footer > Copyright”. Here is the Ultimento trick – they put their link in the store scope (even if you just have one store and didn’t even know that existed). Edit the configuration under the proper store view scope which you need to select in the “Current Configuration Scope” drop down in your Magento admin.
